Western Sydney Philharmonic was founded in 2022 to give Western Sydney an orchestra of its own, and to create opportunities for emerging musicians to develop and perform at the highest level.

​

Over three years, we delivered sixteen projects culminating in public performances, alongside workshops, masterclasses and collaborations with River City Voices. Young artists trained under leading professionals and performed with internationally acclaimed soloists, including pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk and violinist Amalia Hall.

We achieved this without state or Commonwealth funding, through the generosity of our donors and sponsors, local councils, the Walker Family Foundation, the James N. Kirby Foundation, and our partner, Western Sydney University.
 

This year we paused our activities to reflect on all we have achieved and to shape a new direction for the organisation, led by our Artistic Director, Peter Clark.
