Amanda Verner

Viola

Amanda Verner was born in Wellington, New Zealand. After pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in
viola performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of Jeffrey Irvine, she received an
Artist Diploma from the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Michael Tree, Misha
Amory and Roberto Diaz.


Her performances have been described by the New York Times as ‘alluring’ and ‘passionate’. A
member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra since 2013, in recent years she has been a member of the


Philharmonia Orchestra, London and has performed with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Royal
Opera House London, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Australian
Chamber Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra.
