  • The possibility of receiving donated instruments.

Eligibility

For primary school students who already have experience learning an instrument and are musically literate. We value dedication, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to advancing musical skills.

Audition Process

Exciting News! Due to the overwhelming number of last-minute applications, we are thrilled to announce an extension of the audition deadline for WestPhil's Accelerator Program.

To accommodate everyone, we are now accepting video recordings in place of in-person auditions. Applicants should submit a video performance of 1-2 short pieces on their principal orchestral instrument, with or without accompaniment, along with a brief explanation of why they would like to take part in the Accelerator Program. Additionally, there will be an online quiz to assess theoretical knowledge.

We seek students who exhibit strong potential for growth, a positive attitude, and the ability and desire to work collaboratively within an ensemble.

Commitment

The 2024 program requires a two-term commitment, with a fee of $395 per term.

Opportunity Scholarships

Opportunity Scholarships are available based on financial need to help cover the annual contribution costs of the Accelerator Program. Indicate your interest in financial assistance and scholarships on your audition application form, and a scholarship application form will be sent to you at the start of the audition period. Scholarships and their value will be announced in your offer email.

Application Fee

The non-refundable application fee of $25 helps cover the running cost of auditions. WestPhil is committed to ensuring all musicians can apply regardless of financial or geographical barriers. If you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot cover the application fee, please contact WestPhil.

Don't miss this opportunity for your child to be part of an exceptional music program. Apply now and let their musical journey begin.
