About the concert

Join us for a night of extraordinary music as we presents "Harmonies of Hope: A WestPhil Orchestral Journey," with world-renowned pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk and acclaimed conductor Fabian Russell. This unique event, made possible through our partnership with NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) and the generous support of the James N. Kirby Foundation, showcases the power of music to inspire and heal.

Highlights include Mozart's beloved Piano Concerto No. 21, directed from the piano by Gavrylyuk, and the world premiere of David Paterson's Piano Concerto "Variations on a Ukrainian Theme", a moving new work performed with the participation of talented Ukrainian refugee students alongside WestPhil members.
